Ryder Cup European Development Trust

PGA of Poland

Funding was provided to the PGA of Poland by the Ryder Cup European Development Trust in order to help develop and promote its education programme. The grant enabled the PGA of Poland to train golf tutors in Poland, thereby increasing the number of golf professionals available to teach the game of golf in Poland.

The money received has also been used to improve the PGA of Poland’s overall professional education programme, in line with the standard required by the Confederation of Professional Golf. Working with the Confederation of Professional Golf Education Committee, the PGA of Poland has been able to build up its education programme and develop the skills of its tutors. PGA professionals have been a large part of this and have assisted in the re-education and training of golf tutors in Poland in order to ensure that the level of knowledge is up to date.

Funding from the Ryder Cup European Development Trust has enabled members from the PGA of Poland to attend the Confederation of Professional Golf Tutor Training course and it is hoped that a future course might be held in Poland so that more tutors could attend. Thanks to this funding the PGA of Poland has been able to improve the quality of its training to golf tutors and to increase the number of golf tutors in Poland.
